Each season cabi puts on such awesome events around the country for cabi girls to gather together and to bring their friends to learn all about cabi. This past week we had our local gathering at The Blue Goose in Loomis. Below is a birds eye view of the great time we cabi girls have together!

💐Just now posting pictures from my time at the Art Walk at #buttecollege through #chicoartcenter last month. If you scroll through you will see David, holding the painting he purchased titled "Mother's Birthday". Next month I will be showing my art here in Willows along with other artists and crafters. Lyndsay at Broken Oak Acres in Glenn California is truly a beauty! She is so full of ambition and creativity as well. It was such a joy to spend time with her and her family one evening a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday evening I was going through the archives of some of the images that I took a couple of years ago. This dahlia was taken in Washington State. Fun to find some buried treasures to share with you! 🌸

Yesterday I was delighted to photograph at Broken Oak Acres. I was gifted the flowers that we used for part of the photo shoot. Today I'm spending the day editing Lyndsay and her beautiful family and farm. Looking forward to sharing some with you soon!!!🐓🦋🌺💐🌾🌷🌿⚘

🍃Truly, I am loving learning about so many of the great artists of the past. Most of what I am discovering is that there is no "right" way to make art. No need to stay within the lines. No need to make all the colors exact to what one sees with their eyes. No need to make art look "real". *
🍃These books represent not how to paint...but for me they represent how to THINK about art, to think about what colors, shapes, textures, and lines bring me joy. * 🍃Art is something that comes from within...not from "within the lines" so to speak. What resonates with me, may not with you...but it may with somebody! And even if it never does, well it is a therapy for my soul. It is a place to express me...simple little me. For this I am grateful.

My heart is telling me to keep working on my desire to paint. I have been getting so much satisfaction from going thrifting to find all kinds of books on great artists. So much fun learning and "becoming". I am following my heart...and loving this adventure!

These roses were my favorite last year at our new home. I called them the "Grace" rose. Because when we rounded the corner of our yard on the day we signed papers for this house, they were just the most spectacular display of God's favor and grace towards us! Thus...the "Grace" rose!

Lilacs and sweet peas may be my favorite flowers. Our lilacs are in bloom already, and I LOVE them.🌿 My sweet peas are coming up out of the ground and I can't wait to see them later this spring!
